Terms of Service
Last updated · August 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of Roseau during its private beta. By requesting access or using the app, you agree to what’s written here.
About the beta
Roseau is pre-release software. Features may change, pause, or break.
Access & eligibility
- Access is by invitation during the closed beta.
- You must be at least 16.
- You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Your content
You own the records, notes, messages, and other content you put into Roseau. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you — including briefs, the services you set up, and memory you can inspect. We don’t claim ownership of your content. We do not train Roseau’s own models on your content; that is the default for every account, not an opt-out. See the Privacy Policy for how third-party models are used.
Briefs are for your judgment
Roseau prepares briefs, suggestions, and drafts based on the context it can see. These support your decisions — they do not replace them. Sending mail waits for your confirmation. In the app, creating or editing a calendar event you clearly asked for can happen in that turn when the fields are complete; background suggestions and events with invitees still wait. Output is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
Connected services
When you connect Google, Notion, RSS, Trakt, Apple Health, Apple Music, or WeChat, you authorize Roseau to access only what that grant allows. Gmail access may include bounded message text for briefs and memory — not a copy of your whole mailbox. Use of Gmail and Calendar data follows Google’s Limited Use requirements: user-facing features you enable, not ads, sale, or generalized model training. Messages you send Roseau in WeChat are processed as chat, not as a mail or calendar history source. Health stays on device; Music library writes happen on device after you confirm. Those providers’ own terms also apply. You can disconnect at any time; summaries already in memory stay until you reset memory or delete your account.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Roseau for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
- Don’t attempt to disrupt or circumvent the service.
- Don’t input other people’s personal data that you have no right to share.
Pro
Some features are part of Roseau Pro, billed by Apple through the App Store. Prices are as shown in the store. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions.
Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. We may update these terms; the date above is the current version. Continuing to use Roseau after an update means you accept the revised terms.
No warranty
Roseau is provided “as is” and “as available” during the beta, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roseau and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the beta. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Roseau at any time. You can delete your account in Privacy & Data in the app, or follow the Privacy Policy for export and the email fallback. We may suspend or end access if these terms are misused.
